about the history of the area and enjoy tastings at the each
of the wineries.

Francisco Bay, Alcatraz Island and the city skyline.
The Golden Gate Bridge is a must stop for incredible photo
opportunities from every angle.
The Pacific Coast Highway provides breath taking views as
the tour winds through the coastal mountains near Mt. Tamalpais,
the highest point in the North Bay.
With maps and guides in hand, take with a short walk through
these spectacular woods. Set aside in 1908 as a federally
protected area, Muir Woods is the only surviving stand of
Old Growth forest in the Bay Area today.
After leaving the Muir Woods, the tour heads north wine country
for an afternoon of wine tasting. Take in a little Wine Country
history on the way to the historic Sonoma Valley. Continuing
on the excursion, soak up the stunning scenery as you travel
father north into the Sonoma Valley, one of the most prized
wine regions of Northern California.
Taste a wide variety of whites, reds, and dessert wines.
Friendly and knowledgeable tour guides offer their expertise
on local wines and wineries.
See the beautiful valleys that have been supplying California
(and now the world) with fantastic wines for over 60 years.
Sample all the different types of cheeses they have to offer
at the Cheese Factory in the Town Square of Sonoma.
In some cases, it's even possible to call ahead and request
a sit down wine tasting for the entire group. This tour selects
the best stops to provide a wide array of what California
Wine Country has to offer, including family wineries such
as:
Viansa -- Founded in 1988 by third generation Sebastianis,
Viansa was created as a way to share their love of good food,
fine wine, and Italian heritage.
Ravenswood – No Wimpy Wines! For as long as anybody
cares to remember, this has been the credo of Ravenswood Winery
in Sonoma, California.
Homewood Winery -- as close to a one man winery as David
Homewood can keep it. Step by step through the viticultural
and vinification process he does as much of the work as he
can. It is, therefore, a small operation limited to a production
run of 3,000 cases per year.
Benziger -- Try a taste of your favorite wine or try something
new. Enjoy limited production Reserve wines, Vineyard Designate
wines and wines from our Estate vineyards.
Also, enjoy an opportunity to visit the Mission San Francisco
de Solano, the northernmost California Mission, and peruse
the boutique shops that surround this center of commerce,
as time permits.
Finally, as the tour journeys back to San Francisco, sit
back, relax and lose yourself in a breathtaking California
sunset!
